Hello, I'm Rick
I'm a Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon Web Services, where I lead security data platforms with significant budget oversight. With over 15 years of experience in technical program management, I've had the privilege of working with some of the most innovative companies in technology and financial services.
My journey in technology began with a fascination for how systems work together to solve complex problems. This curiosity evolved into a career focused on building and leading programs that protect critical infrastructure and enable business growth.
At Charles Schwab, I served as Managing Director overseeing the cybersecurity portfolio, protecting trillions in client assets. Before that, at Experian, I directed the cybersecurity PMO during a critical period of security transformation, leading breach remediation efforts and establishing enterprise-wide security frameworks.
What drives me is the intersection of technology and business value. I believe the best technical programs are those that not only solve complex problems but also create measurable impact for organizations and the people they serve.
When I'm not working on program strategies or security architectures, you can find me exploring the Pacific Northwest trails, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or diving into the latest leadership and technology books.

My Leadership Philosophy
"Great program management isn't about controlling every detail—it's about creating clarity, removing obstacles, and empowering teams to do their best work. The most successful programs I've led were ones where the team felt ownership over the outcomes."
I approach every program with a focus on people first. Technical challenges can always be solved, but building a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement is what separates good programs from great ones.
Let's Connect
I'm always interested in discussing new opportunities, sharing insights, or simply connecting with fellow professionals.
